Learning & Curriculum Support Librarian

As a member of the Learning & Curriculum Support Team, I design and deliver a range of sessions, classes, course-support materials, and one-on-one consultations that facilitate student learning and engagement, and the timely completion of assignments and programs through the acquisition and mastery of effective research skills.

About Me

B.A. (Saskatchewan), M.A. (Saskatchewan), M.L.I.S. (Western)

I received my MA from the University of Saskatchewan in medieval Icelandic literature in 1996 and my MLIS from the University of Western Ontario in 2005. Before coming to Guelph, I worked as a Reference and Research Help Librarian at Robarts Library at the University of Toronto and a Reference and Instruction Librarian at Augustana Campus Library of the University of Alberta where I taught credit-courses in Augustana Library’s award-winning information literacy program.

My research interests include the training and development of librarians as teachers in higher education, research behaviours across disciplines and popular culture representations of libraries and librarians, reading, literacy, and higher education.
