Guides
- A Guide to Time Management
This newly redesigned workshop is a comprehensive compendium of information, strategies, and advice on time planning and controlling procrastination. A Guide to Time Management is particularly useful for senior and graduate students who find effective time management to be an on-going challenge.
- A Guide to University Learning
This workshop is designed to give first-year students a preview of what it's like to take lecture notes, process academic text, create
integrated study notes, and take a multiple choice test in a university learning environment. It focuses on a small part of an introductory Psychology course. A Guide to University Learning was formerly called iU. It's been completely redesigned, with many new and unique features like text that highlights itself. Try out A Guide to University Learning during the summer before you arrive on campus, and use it through out your first year as you encounter new learning challenges.

Mark Calculator
- This new tool developed by Learning Services allows you to calculate your standing in a course based on the marks you've received so far. It can help you determine your goals for upcoming assignments and exams, or decide whether or not to drop the course. You can also calculate your semester average. You can print your results from the Mark Calculator website, or download the Excel version, where you can save your information and add to it throughout the semester. We would appreciate your feedback on this new tool - whether complaints or compliments. Please contact Jason Dodd in Learning Services at jdodd@uoguelph.ca.
