SLG Leaders are trained Peer Helpers who attend class lectures again and then hold out-of-class study sessions on a weekly basis to help students integrate how to learn with what to learn.

Supported Learning Group Leaders:

• have a cumulative "A" average in their current course of study
• have exhibited excellence in leadership in on or off-campus organizations
• have excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• make a commitment of 10 hours per week

In return, SLG leaders recieve:

• valuable experience in a para-professional helping role
• extensive training in presentation, consultation, group work, self-management, and learning skills
• a zero credit notation on your official transcript for experiential learning
• a honourarium each semester and a range of other perks and benefits including photocopying privileges and computer access
