The SLGs were extremely useful, and I think I would have been lost without them! They are more than worth the 3 hours a week!!! I felt that I learned more at SLGs than I would have learned if I was trying to figure it out on my own.
SLGs are super helpful! It's great that the leader has close communication with the professor.
SLGs have helped me greatly. Small learning groups and the pace at which material was covered made an incredible difference in my academic success. I recommend them to all my friends!
Our leader was very helpful, she helped me to understand key concepts and study habits. She also helped me not to worry so much about midterms and quizzes.
The sessions made the transition from high school to university easier.
We knew that as participants we were responsible for the session discussions and the leader was there for facilitation. As a result everyone felt compelled to participate and the group ran efficiently and it was great getting to know everyone.
SLG's are invaluable. I learned something in every session and I was more prepared for quizzes and tests!
SLG has helped with my first year courses. I feel students should be encouraged to attend as much as possible. They are a sure way of getting in three hours of studying each week!
The SLG leader was helpful in allowing me to get use to making good notes and helping me with learning tips. It was also a good experience in meeting new people and allowing everyone to discuss the topics in each chapter.
