Library Renovations: Collection Location and Accessibility Update

Current periodicals, government documents, atlases, DVDs, VHS tapes, and CDs are being stored on compact shelving on the lower level. These items will be inaccessible beginning May 1, 2017 until the lower level renovations are complete.

Periodical articles and government documents are available through RACER. Users should enquire at the Ask Us! Desk if they have questions about accessing other materials.

The following items have been moved from the lower level to the first floor and will remain on the first floor for the duration of the lower level renovation.

  • Map cabinets
  • Microform collections
  • The microform reader and printers
  • The record turntable

Come April 10, 2017, the newspaper microfilms will be relocated to the Annex—the library’s off-site storage facility. If you’d like to obtain newspaper information, it’s available through the following options:

  1. Requesting a copy of an article through RACER
  2. Requesting specific years of microfilm for use in the library
  3. Visiting the Annex and consulting the material on site

If you have any questions about these options, please speak with the staff at the Ask Us! Desk.
