Tri-Agencies Adopt Statement of Principles on Digital Data Management

The three federal research granting agencies—the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and the Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), known collectively as the Tri-Agencies—have adopted a Statement of Principles on Digital Data Management, effectively recognizing and affirming the importance of data stewardship in achieving excellence in science and scholarship. The agencies are currently in the process of reviewing and enhancing the data management requirements for federally funded researchers.
