The Library's Archival and Special Collections have a wealth of valuable research resources that can enhance traditional text resources. Until recently, these resources could only be consulted by physically visiting the Archives and then only at the risk of damage or loss of the resources. We have been working hard to digitize these resources so that they are available to researchers anywhere in the world and without any risk to the physical resources.
Examples of our digital collections include: the
personal photographic collection of L.M. Montgomery;
images from International Havester Canada; and
the L.W. Conolly Theatre Archives set models.
RE&SC is working closely with the
Learning &Curriculum Support Team to develop a platform for making even more of our digital collections accessible to users over the web. In the process, we can also ensure the long-term preservation of these rare resources
