Download the Printeron Driver

Download and install the Printeron printer driver (Note: the company uses the terms PrinterOn and Printwhere interchangeably — they both refer to the same driver outlined below).

  1. Visit Printeron.net. Using your mouse pointer hover over the Support heading. A drop menu will appear. Click on Downloads.
  2. Scroll down to the Printwhere Driver section. Click the Download button and save the file.
  3. Follow the InstallShield Wizard instructions.
  4. Click Finish.

Configure Printerwhere

You will need to configure printwhere to connect to the University of Guelph Distributed printing system:

  1. You should now see a Choose A Printer 3.6 icon on your desktop. In the Keywords box at the top of screen, enter Guelph, then press your enter key. You will see 2 printers, one for Colour and one for Black and White.

  2. Click on McLaughlin Library Colour Laser Printer and then click OK.
  3. Click Select. Be patient as the printer is added. The window will close as soon as the printer is added.
  4. Now, double-click the Choose a Printer icon on the desktop and type Guelph in the keyword bar again and hit enter. This time, click on Campus Black and White Laser Printer. Be patient as the printer is added.

Now you are all set to print to the wireless printing system on your personal laptop.

  5. If you would like to change to the colour printer network, just double-click the Choose a Printer icon on your desktop, enter "Guelph" in the search bar and click on the Library Colour Laser Printer this time and click OK.

Note: the Wireless printing system is an extension of the existing campus Distributed Printing System. Anywhere there is wireless internet on campus, you can print using the driver above. Jobs printed using the PrintWhere driver can be picked up at any Distributed Printing System Printer, which are scattered throughout campus. You can find printers in the following locations:
