A new updated version of RefWorks is now available. Click the RefWorks 2.0 link in the upper right corner of your RefWorks account to switch to the new platform. It may look a little different, but works in just the same way as before. The menus at the top of the screen are the same, but there's more information about your references to the right of the page, plus links to further information and help. Your references are available as always in either the old or new platform. Version 2.0 will be the default view after October 25th. Until the end of the year you can switch back and forth between RefWorks 2.0 and RefWorks Classic by clicking on the link in the upper-right menu while in RefWorks. The Classic version will no longer be available after December 2011. To find out more about RefWorks 2.0 or to link to a demo, tutorials, or to register for a free webinar, visit RefWorks 2.0 or visit this suite of online tutorials.
RefWorks is a bibliographic management service that will collect, store and organize citations you've found to journal articles, books, web sites and other sources. Save time with RefWorks: it will create correctly formatted bibliographies and manuscripts automatically to the format you specify.
RefWorks is provided and maintained by the Library through a cooperative arrangement with Scholars Portal, a service of the Ontario Council of University Libraries.
Scholars Portal has created a LibGuide explaining RefWorks as well as an interactive RefWorks FAQ page.
RefWorks is available for use by all registered students, and the faculty and staff at the University of Guelph.
RefWorks is Web-based so there's no software you need to download and install, and it works with PC or Macintosh systems.
