Research carrels in the library are available for use by graduate students only. Carrels are shared by two students, and may be renewed at the end of the assignment period if the student is still registered as a graduate student.
To apply for a research carrel, bring a valid University identification card to the Circulation and Interlibrary Services desk in the Library.

Locations
- Carrels 1 to 104 – 2nd floor
- Carrels 105 to 280 – 3rd floor
- Carrels 281 to 328 – 6th floor
Policies
- Books and documents not charged out should not be kept in research carrels or closed studies.
- Periodicals and reference items should not be kept in research carrels or closed studies unless they are manually checked out by reference staff (see the Reference Desk staff for procedure).
