Our thanks to Harbinger Communications for their support In 2012, the Canadian Culinary Book Awards will celebrate its fifteenth anniversary, and this year will mark a bold new direction: a hybrid of the older, established prize with exciting new branding. The roll-out on branding – new name, logo, website, taglines, venue and prize parameters -- will begin in January 2012, under the leadership of Karen Gelbart, previously Senior Vice-President, Lifestyle Content at Shaw Media, and responsible for launching the Food Network in Canada and overseeing its operations for 10 years. Our goal is to celebrate culinary writing in Canada -- a barometer of trends in the food industry -- and to bring the nominated titles to the attention of a larger general public. We invite you to join us in taking Taste Canada—The Food Writing Awards to a new level of awareness in Canada. The awards and the new branding activities offer a unique opportunity to present our sponsors’ products and services to some of the most recognized and respected Canadian food personalities and to the Canadian public. The outreach is scheduled for January, February, April, May, August, and the ceremony in November, and will be a combination of social and traditional media, and the use of “big mouths” in the industry to reach publishers, authors, and opinion leaders. The branding is designed to leverage the national authority the prize already enjoys through its partnership with the University of Guelph Library, and link it with the new face of food. The annual event on November 5th will involve 300 of the top food writers, media, and influencers in the food industry. It will include a cooking demonstration from culinary students from colleges such as George Brown, Stratford and Liaison College in Toronto. Last year's sponsors are already lining up, and if previous years are any indication, we will have to turn away some of the 1000-strong guest list! This is corporate identification with a unique Canadian book awards program and a celebration of Canadian cuisine, from organizations focused on supporting and servicing the culinary industry from field to table. Sponsorships - Taste Canada - 2012Sponsorships will result in branding on websites, press material, media mentions, event participation, media partnerships, and many logo identification opportunities.
In addition to all these advantages, individual sponsors are offered: Naming Sponsorship – Three Years- $75,000 per year
Gold Sponsors ($25,000 +) per year
Silver Sponsors ($10,000 +) per year
All of these activities and, the recognition of the outstanding work done by Canadian culinary authors, are only possible with the generous support of our sponsors. We welcome a conversation on how these outlined programmes can be best adapted to your needs! Print PDF (PDF 39kb) For more information: |
