The statistical / numerical and geospatial data collections can be used separately or together. Much of the statistical / numerical data is geocoded, allowing it to be displayed spatially in a GIS (geographic information system). For more information on how to do this, please contact DRC staff.
Statistical / numerical data is available through the Tri-University Data Resources (TDR) Web site. The TDR is a joint venture between Guelph, Waterloo and Wilfred Laurier Universities. Statistics Canada and ICPSR surveys comprise a large segment of the collection.
Geospatial data incudes demographic, topographic, geological, and environmental data that can be displayed in a GIS (geographic information system). While primarily focused on North America, some international data is also available.
