Description

The landcover dataset was derived from Landsat satellite imagery (June 10, 2000 and August 10, 2002) and ancillary thematic data from the Ontario Natural Resource and Values Information System NRVIS]. The methodology is considered a modified Southern Ontario Land Resource Information System [SOLRIS] approach using a combination of spectral, textural and proximity techniques. Released November, 2006.
