There are several ways clients of the DRC can access help and learning resources.
Visit the Research Help Desk during opening hours (main floor, McLaughlin Library) for assistance. For advanced inquiries, you may be referred to the DRC, where specialists are available from 10:00 to 4:00 Monday to Friday (Fall and Winter semesters, the office is closed during the Summer semester). Appointments are recommended for in-depth assistance with data selection, creation, manipulation and analysis questions.
The DRC facilities are available during regular building hours for library card holders.
The DRC also offers learning resources (workshops, online guides and tutorials for students, faculty and staff), and provides software support.
In addition to data consultations with our staff, you can also take advantage of these learning resources:
A comprehensive collection of online help guides in accessing and using statistical/numerical and geospatial data and statistical computing.
The Graduate Student Learning Initiative is an excellent resource as a collaborative endeavour that brings together key campus services to support graduate student learning, writing, library research, and use of technology.
