Data Software

U of G has a site license for SPSS, SAS, S-Plus, Matlab, and ESRI GIS software for members of the University community to download and use. Each package is subject to its own license details and agreements.

This software is available from the Computing and Communications Services CCS Software Distribution site for a small fee.

SPSS, SAS, S-Plus, Matlab, and ESRI GIS software packages are available on the computers in the DRC.

GIS Software

ESRI ArcView 3.3 and ArcGIS are available for download to personal computers by faculty, staff and graduate students at the University of Guelph. Details are available on the CCS Software Distribution site. Note that these packages are not available for download by undergraduate students.

Three computers in the DRC have ESRI ArcView 3.3 and ArcGIS 9.0 installed. A login and password are required. Consult DRC staff for details.

ArcGIS 9.1 is available on all public computers in the Library. Save data and projects to CD or USB storage key.

GIS Software Online Courses

ESRI Virtual Campus online courses are available free of charge to all students, faculty, and staff of the University of Guelph. On the CCS Software Distribution site, click Search by Publishers and choose ESRI Virtual Campus for a list of courses.
