Individual research consultations, formerly provided by the liaison librarians, are now being offered by both the Learning and Curriculum Support Team (L&CS)
and the Research Enterprise and Scholarly Communications Team (RE&SC)
. Each of these teams will be focusing on different user needs according to their respective mandates, with L&CS concentrating on development of information literacy skills and RE&SC focusing on supporting faculty and grad students during the research process. The teams will work in close cooperation in order to complement each others’ services.
The L&CS Team is responsible for consultations with undergraduate students, as well as for working with graduates who require information literacy skills or who are working on a class assignment.
The RE & SC will be providing consultation services for faculty, graduate students working on thesis/dissertation-related research, research assistants and those requiring support with issues related to scholarly communications (publishing, open access, etc). RE & SC will also coordinate and provide support for the costed delivery of research consultation services to affiliated and non-affiliated researchers.
