Information Resources and Collections Services
For faculty and students, your academic department is assigned a librarian who is your contact for all questions pertaining to acquiring library resources, policies and regulations, managing the collections and providing course and program assessments. In cooperation with faculty in each academic department, Librarians select new library materials in all formats and make decisions on how items are made accessible, including:
- Developing the print and electronic collections for a department, faculty, and college or subject area.
- Answering questions and soliciting input and feedback on policies related to Library resources.
- Consulting with users, including faculty, on significant changes to collections.
- Conducting assessments of the library collection when new courses and programs are being developed.
