New Resource Notice: Research Methods Primary Sources

Research Methods Primary Sources introduces humanities and social science students to the key approaches and methodologies of working with primary source material. Designed to be used in the classroom or for independent study, this resource allows students to engage with primary sources and assess historical evidence. Research Methods Primary Sources has nearly 200 hundred essays, videos, "How to" guides and case studies by subject specialists which teach students how to work with primary sources. This resource offers guidance on finding historical documents, what kinds of questions one might want to pose about evaluating them,  and how best to approach analysing the content they hold. This resource gathers together practical advice and instruction from experts working  with primary sources around the world.

Materials are organised into three core pillars of learning: Learning Tools, Case Studies, and Practice Sources.
