Archival & Special Collections

Library & Archives Logo

Special Notice: Effective April 24, 2017, Archival & Special Collections will be closed until later this fall due to extensive renovations. We will, therefore, not be able to answer research inquiries of any kind over the summer months, nor will we be able to accept any new donations. If you do have records you had planned to transfer over the summer, please contact Kathryn Harvey to arrange for a time in the Fall to do so.

For more information about the renovations, visit the Library Renovation page.

Located in the lower level of the Library's south-east tower, Archival & Special Collections supports research and teaching on campus, offering a passageway to the cultural, social, physical, and political history of the Guelph region and the University's founding colleges.

We offer email, phone, and in-person reference services to help you navigate our many collections. Faculty can also book orientation sessions with our staff to provide archival literacy training for their students.

Come visit Archival & Special Collections during our regular hours and explore history.
