Guelph Wellington Climate Action Week

Greta Thunberg is a Swedish teenager who last year begun demanding more action from her government on climate change with weekly protests. Inspired by her energy there will be two global climate strikes taking place on September 20 and 27 to demand action to solve the world’s climate crisis.

Between September 20 and 27, there will be a large selection of events taking place in Guelph Wellington county to support these global climate strikes. These events include a University of Guelph walkout, a climate week performance at city hall, Vegfest at Riverside Park, and more.

Friday September 20, all members of the U of G community are invited to gather at the Cannon at 11 a.m. to walk or bus downtown and join the Fridays for the Future rally in front of Guelph City Hall at 12 p.m.
