Ithaka S+R Faculty Survey Winners

Pictured above are University of Guelph professors Joseph Lam and Elizabeth Ewan, each holding a framed print from the Library’s Archival and Special Collections. Missing from the photo are professors Steffen Graether and Judith Thompson, who also received framed prints as a thank you for participating in the recent Ithaka S+R survey, distributed to all U of G faculty in the Fall of 2014. Winners were randomly selected from the 30% of University of Guelph faculty who completed or partially completed the survey.

The Ithaka S+R Survey is designed to help the library gain insight into how our faculty members work in a rapidly changing and increasingly digital environment, and the role of the library in that changing environment.

Professor Lam selected a 1920’s photograph of Massey Hall, which also served as the University’s library until the construction of the McLaughlin Library in 1968. Professor Ewan chose an image of New Edinburgh street map selected from the book The Traveller's Guide Through Scotland and Its Islands: Illustrated by Maps, Sketches of Pleasure Tours, Views of Remarkable Buildings, and a Plan of the Lakes of Cumberland (5th ed.) published in 1811.

Results of the survey will be shared with the campus community once they have been analysed.
