Microbiology is an important field of study across the University, so the library collects heavily in this area and has recently acquired access to the following e-books and journals:

  • American Society for Microbiology (ASM) e-books: ASM has a new website for journals and books.  Guelph now has access to titles published between 2015 and 2017.
  • Beneficial Microbes (Wageningen): Promotes the science of microbes beneficial to health and wellbeing. Major sections dedicated to food, nutrition and health; animal nutrition; processing and application; regulatory & safety aspects; and medical & health applications. (2010-present)
  • Microbial Drug Resistance (Mary Ann Liebert): Covers the global threat of multi-drug resistant pathogens. Topics include molecular biology of resistance mechanisms; virulence genes and disease; molecular epidemiology; drug design; infection control. (1995-present)
  • Nature Microbiology (Springer Nature): Focuses on all aspects of microorganisms, from structure and function to environmental and social impacts. (2016-present)
