Workshop series to build a more diverse and inclusive representation of the world online.
This winter, Scholars Studio (S2) and THINC Lab, are introducing a new workshop series that focuses on creating a more diverse and inclusive representation of history online.
During each workshop, attendees will be invited to edit a Wikipedia page that centers around a selected theme. Through this collaborative effort, a more accurate account of events will be recorded online.
Wikipedia Edit-a-thons will run from 10:00am to 12:00pm the last Thursday of each month and will be led by staff from S2 and THINC Lab. The first three events have been planned and the first will take place on January 31, 2019.
These workshops are open to everyone on campus and in the community. Visit our Workshops & Events page for more information about what’s happening this semester at the library.
