Public Computers Now Require Login

The Library's complement of public computers now require login in order to gain access.

This change brings the Library's public computers into compliance with the policies and procedures outlined by the U of G Information Security office

The Library has worked with the Information Security office in order to devise an approved guest access procedure to ensure that visitors to the U of G Library can still access our computing resources.

How to access a public computer in the Library:

  • For current faculty, staff, and students looking to use a public computer: please login using the same login and password you use to access your @uoguelph.ca email address.
  • For guests visiting the library looking to use a public computer: please visit the Ask Us desk with a form of government-issued photo ID and provide your name, email address, and phone number to get a guest pass for the day

The University of Guelph also provides guest internet access for those visitors who wish to bring their own laptop to campus.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact us at library@uoguelph.ca, and one of our friendly staff will get back to you shortly. You may also contact our acting Manager of Information Technology Services, Randy Oldham.
