The fonds consists of articles and clippings from the Weekend Magazine.

Margo Oliver graduated in Home Economics at the University of Manitoba in 1950. After a year of graduate work at the University of Minnesota, she went to work for General Mills in the Betty Crocker kitchens in Minneapolis. General Mills later expanded into Canada and recruited Oliver who spent four years travelling the country appearing on radio and television. She then became food editor of Weekend Magazine from 1959 to 1979 based in Montreal. She later worked for Canadian Weekend and Today until retirement in 1982. Margo Oliver also produced seven cookbooks - all best sellers.
