Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People

Also known as the Young People’s Theatre, this company was opened by Susan Douglas Rubes in 1966 with The Looking Glass Review. The company changed its name to the Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People in 2001 after a sizeable donation from Kevin Kimsa was given to honour his mother. In 2011, it was changed back. This theatre primarily produces Canadian works featuring school aged people in the cast. The company is located in Toronto, functioning out of a former stable on Front Street. It is still in operation to this day.
