David Antscherl

David Antscherl is an Ontario-based artist, instructor, actor, art director, and a set and production designer for both stage and film.  He has been involved in many Drayton Entertainment productions, including Run for Your Wife, Look No Hans!, Shear Madness, and It Runs in the Family. His involvement with productions at other theatres include The Fighting Days (Essential Collective Theatre), The Tragical Comedy or Comical Tragedy of Mr. Punch (Theatre Beyond Words), and The Wind in the Willows: The New Musical (Yellow Door Theatre). Antscherl also designed costumes for the world premiere of Gary Kirkham's play Falling, A Wake.  Antscherl was the Art Director for The Perimeter Institute’s films Quantum Physics and Dark Matter and was the production designer and special makeup effects artist for Look!. Antscherl has also taught in theatre, opera, and fine art departments at multiple universities, colleges, and community centres and galleries.  Antscherl is also the author of several books on 18th century naval architecture.

The David Antscherl fonds contains set design material, including technical drawings, maquettes, photographs, slides, posters, house programs, correspondence, and newspaper clippings.
