This fonds consists of the professional papers related to Phillip Silver’s career in theatre including reviews,  house programs, photographs, prop, costume, and set design sketches, lighting plots,  production notes, correspondence and other types of records covering a period from 1955 to 2019. Materials relate to Silver's work at the following theatres: Alberta Theatre Projects, the Canadian Opera Company, CanStage, Citadel Theatre, Grand Theatre, the Harold Green Jewish Theatre, Live Entertainment (Livent), Manitoba Theatre Centre, Neptune Theatre, the Stratford Festival, Tarragon Theatre, Theatre New Brunswick, Theatre Plus, various Theatre Schools, the Toronto Symphony, Young People’s Theatre and others.
