Collection of charters, photographs, correspondence, minutes, and legal papers relating to the Canada Company, founded by John Galt.

The Canada Company was a private chartered British land development company, incorporated by Royal Charter on August 19, 1826, under an act of the British Parliament to aid in the colonization of a large part of Upper Canada. It was founded by John Galt who became its first Superintendent. The company was considered successful in their goal of populating the Huron Tract area with European settlers.
