This fonds features the diaries of Roseltha Wolverton Goble (1835-1919), the wife of Jasper Gershom Goble from 1857-1919. This record also includes civil war journals written by Roseltha’s brothers Jasper (d. 1861) and Alfred (d.1863) in addition to correspondence. The couple owned Goble’s Corners and Penhurst Farm from 1884 until their deaths, when the properties were passed on to their son Fred Wolverton Goble, who remained the owner until his death in 1950.

It is a collection of original diaries written by Roseltha Wolverton Goble, account books and various legal documents from Goble's Corners and Penhurst Farm, Woodstock ON, from 1884-1950, family records kept by Jacob Goble Sr from 1777-1841, and a diary/cash book kept by Eva Goble, Roseltha's daughter-in-law from 1918-1944.
