Collection of correspondence, legal documents, accounts, and photographs relating to 6 generations of the Mickle Family.

Charles Julius Mickle (1784-1859) and his family emigrated to Canada from Scotland in 1832. They settled on land now occupied by the Catholic Seminary (Ignatius College) on Elora Road (Highway 6).

The collection contains material relating to Charles Julius and his descendants, his father William Julius (1734-1788) who was a published author of some repute, and his grandfather Alexander Mickle (d.1758) who was a Presbyterian minister at Langholm in Dumfriesshire.
