The Sleeman family’s involvement in the Canadian brewing industry began when John H. Sleeman arrived in Upper Canada in 1834. Since establishing his first brewery in St. David’s, the family has had a long and colourful history in the brewing industry. There are several members of the Sleeman family that have played a significant role in the development and success of the family business. The following are a selection of biographies of some of these members.
