Journal describes a trip made by A. McLeish from Glasgow to London in 1816, which mentions visiting landmarks such as St. Paul's Cathedral (16 May), Somerset House (22 May), British Museum (27 May), Covent Garden Market (28 May), and his return home to Glasgow. The latter half of the journal describes his 1820 trip from Glasgow to Denmark.

15.5 x 10 cm; contains original journal and 2 copies with 10 small daguerreotypes and ambrotypes (8 in velvet lined cases) of family members.
