Library Budget: Services & Infrastructure

Today's Hours: 8am - 10pm - All service hours

We are in the process of reviewing library services and infrastructure using the budget planning principles we have established. As a result of this process the following library services and infrastructure have been discontinued:

  • Course Materials & Reserve Services’ drop-in service point. Instructors and others wishing to consult with Course Material & Reserve Services staff in person may now e-mail us to book an appointment during regular business hours.
  • Custom web hosting

  • Foodmap

  • French language writing support

  • Synchronous class instruction on media projects. Please see our guide for instructors on Creating Digital Assignments.

  • Twine

  • Virtual Research Environment

  • Web archiving

  • Media Studio closed effective July 15, 2024

    • Including classes, instruction, spaces, equipment, and software

Changes to Library services and infrastructure:

  • Archival & Special Collections reading room has moved to appointment-only
  • Printing and photocopying prices have been increased to bring charges in-line with the rising costs of this service
  • Streaming media requests are now restricted to faculty and instructors for course-related purposes. Requests must be submitted through the course reserve system at least two months in advance. For more information, please visit our Video & Audio Collection and Guide to Course Reserves.

This list will continue to be updated as service adjustments are made.

The library is committed to ensuring that members of our user community with disabilities have equal access to our services and resources and that their dignity and independence is always respected.
