If you’re someone who teaches courses or workshops at U of G, you’ll benefit from the Accessible Teaching Toolkit. This toolkit will show you how to make small, simple changes to your planning, design, and delivery, which will have a significant impact on the learning experiences of those you teach from an accessibility perspective. The Accessible Teaching Toolkit was created by employees of the McLaughlin Library, the Office of Teaching and Learning, the School of Continuing Studies, and Student Accessibility Services.

The Accessible Teaching Toolkit features a variety of topics, helping you design more accessible courses and workshops one step at a time.
What we hope you’ll consider
We know how busy life is on campus. What we hope you’ll consider this semester is using the Accessible Teaching Toolkit by choosing one of the items from the list above and dedicating yourself to learning about it and updating your courses or workshops accordingly. “For example, as an instructor you could choose to focus on creating and selecting more accessible course materials, or creating more accessible assignments,” said Lindsey Robinson, manager, Content and Accessibility Services. “Small changes in planning can make big impact throughout the semester.”

This new toolkit is a work in progress, so we’d love your feedback. To provide us with feedback, you can fill out an anonymous survey or contact the library. Feedback will be open until the end of the Fall 2026 semester.
