Workshops, programming, and events
Library workshops and programming happening this summer include:
- AI Writing Series for English Language Learners – session topics include let’s talk about AI, sentence rules and AI patterns, concision and organization, and using sources.
- Writing Your Voice in the Age of AI – this workshop explores practical strategies to ensure your work retains its originality and still sounds unmistakably like you, even when AI is part of the process.
- Graduate Student Accountability Group starts May 20 and runs weekly until August 12.
- Knowledge Synthesis Foundations – this two-part series includes sessions on navigating knowledge synthesis, and advanced search strategies.
- GenAI Prompt Engineering – session topics include studying and preparing for exams.
- Grad Skills Series – session topics include reading and notetaking, presentation skills, and procrastination, perfectionism and the imposter phenomenon.
- AI Writing Series, information sessions – topics include using AI to write your papers, and AI and your unpublished writing.
- Dissertation Writing Retreat – applications for this summer’s in-person retreat are due by May 25, 2026.
- Thesis Writing Workshop Series – session topics include research questions, outlining your thesis, and writing the literature review.

Appointments and consultations
Appointments and consultations are available throughout the summer semester and are offered in-person and online. Whether you’re an undergraduate student, graduate student, instructor, researcher, or U of G staff, you’re welcome to book an appointment with us.
