Members of the U of G community can expect a change to Library Course Reserves in Winter 2027 as we make the switch to a new platform. “In addition to the upgraded user experience and accessibility features – the platform is fully integrated with CourseLink, making it easy and convenient for students to use,” said Heather Martin, manager, Course Material and Reserve Services. “It’s also designed to work seamlessly on all devices.”

The new system will provide instructors with more options for how they organize and present course materials to students, and will be integrated with Omni, the library’s catalogue. “Instructors will be able to simply drag and drop resources into reading lists,” said Martin.

Changes like these don’t happen without thoughtful consideration and planning – an implementation team at the library is working hard behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transition for the community. “We are also elated that some faculty will be piloting their courses on the new platform this fall,” said Martin. “The feedback they provide to us will help us refine things, so we are providing a better user experience for both instructors and students when we go live for all courses in Winter 2027.”
