Happy Pride Month written in the middle of the graphic with four book covers from the collection on top and four below.

It’s Pride Month and U of G is celebrating in a variety of ways. At the library, we’re inviting you to explore our online Pride Collections, where you’ll find the newest titles added to celebrate Pride, and several themed displays, including:

  • Representation Matters – this display focuses on books and movies with positive portrayals of LGBTQ2IA+ lives, characters, and experiences.
  • We Are Everywhere – this display focuses on diversity and intersectionality within the LGBTQ2IA+ community, with fiction, histories, and memoirs examining the ways in which many facets of LGBTQ2IA+ identities impact lived experiences.
  • Queer Bodies – this display recognizes that queerness as it is enacted through the body. Queer bodies are counter normative; they are trans bodies, fat bodies, disabled bodies; they are bodies that are politicized by virtue of existing. The Queer Bodies display promotes books, comics, and films by or about those who have their queerness written on their body.
